This was a project focused on auditing and prototyping an enhanced user experience for clients using an ATS system. My role was to thoroughly assess the current CRM interface, applying UX/UI principles to identify pain points and create practical improvements.

The aim was to streamline the onboarding process, reducing the need for the Popcorn team to handle all customer inquiries over the phone. By crafting user-friendly solutions, we made it easier for clients to navigate the system independently, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

I audited Hire Central’s current hiring workflow, defined scope, and led discovery, flow mapping, and screen proposals. Starting with pen and paper, I reduced the product to two core surfaces, Candidate List and Candidate Detail, and mapped the end-to-end flow to expose handoffs and friction for recruiters and hiring managers. I prioritised visible, at-point-of-action inputs, attached outcome emails to Hire and Reject actions, and added a simple status overview so managers can track progress without digging. The solution direction was a clearer Candidate List with inline status and a right-side detail pane for rapid triage, plus a structured Candidate Detail with evaluations, obvious next steps, and triggered communications.

Key problems

  • Results and notes were hard to find or enter in the correct place
